Draft Development Brief for the former Fire and Police Station - Consultation

Former Police & Fire Station Site

Milton Keynes Council is now consulting on a Draft Development Brief for the former Fire and Police Station site, located off Sherwood Drive, Bletchley.

This 1.25 ha site is in the ownership of Milton Keynes Development Partnership and its redevelopment forms part of the MK: Bletchley & Fenny Stratford Town Deal programme.

The Draft Brief reflects policies in the Development Plan covering the area [i.e. Plan:MK and the West Bletchley Neighbourhood Plan] and design guidance/principles to enable the submission of a high-quality proposal for the development of this strategic site.

Stakeholder/public consultation on the Draft Brief will run for a period of 6-weeks, commencing on Friday 26 August.  All comments on the Draft Brief must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday 7 October.

At the end of the consultation period, a report will be prepared summarising the comments received throughout the consultation period.  Comments received will be considered by the Council and the Draft  Brief will be amended, as deemed appropriate.  It is anticipated that the final version of the Development Brief will then be approved by way of a Delegated Decision to be taken in November.

Whilst not a formal planning document, when approved the final Brief will, potentially, be considered a ‘material consideration’ in the determination of planning applications for the site.

The Draft Brief and details about where to send comments on the same can be accessed via the following link:
